CluePad’s Recommendation System

What do I need to get started with CluePad?

All you need is to have a website which is available for viewing (CluePad can’t get into a password protected site), and a related Google Analytics account (we’ll never ask you for your Google account credentials). You’ll log in with your email address.

What you won’t need is a resident internet marketing or SEO guru to interperet CluePad’s recommendations. You won’t need to steep yourself in the latest SEO trends or pour over mountains of analytics data for insights.

I have all that. How does CluePad generate my recommendations?

CluePad approaches site improvements from two angles. First, we look at your site directly, by crawling and analyzing its pages and links. Second, we look for trends in the analytics data captured by your Google Analytics account.

How do I use CluePad day-to-day?

We recalculate recommendations for your site nightly. We’ll present you with the most relevant recommendation for you to complete whenever you log in. Follow the recommendation’s tips and then mark it complete to get the next one. You can help CluePad learn what you find most useful by discarding recommendations, or saving ones you’re not ready to tackle until a later date.
